This was a gift from Brittany (she found it at a local flea market).
I painted it with a light coat of paint.
Artist-in-training.
On a BEAUTIFUL summer day, Brittany & I dragged all our stuff out to my backyard and painted all weekend while Ava swam in her pool:)
So much fun! This picture reminds me of Sanford and Son.
These shutters were a yard sale find. All of them for $2, I think.
This old door is from my great-grandparents' house. I never met my Great-grandmother Little, but I do remember my great-grandfather. I love this! Maybe it'll become Ava's headboard...

I have a window frame very similar to yours. What are you going to use it for? Mine is just sitting around in my craft room. My SIL and I are possibly going to get in on some salvage opportunities. I will have to check back with you for insipration!
ReplyDeleteOh my - the little artist forgot her smock. Haha. What a cutie!
ReplyDeleteLove the blue on the window. Beautiful shade.
I love the old door from your great grandparents house. It would make a great headboard with some family history.

Love that tin chalkboard! And there's so many possibilities with those shutters and that great door! It really would make a great headboard!

Love the idea of the roof tin! And little Ave in "artist training" is TOO CUTE! She is adorable - her eyes are to die for!!! Great finds!
ReplyDeleteHow adorable is Ava? I think she stole the show . . . although you have some great finds. That's neat that you and sis can go through sheds of family items. I wish I could do that. I'd have a ball. I do have the enamelware pan my mother bathed me in as a newborn and couldn't decide what to do with it and now is a birdbath - in fact the birds like it best of all my birdbaths. LOL http://gardeningbytrialanderror.blogspot.com/2009/03/birdbaths-everywhere.html#comments
ReplyDeleteWHat great finds and treasures, and nice the weather is nice enough to do some projects outside...Have a great VTT! and a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteNifty cool neato stuff!!! "Treasure hunts" at grandma's and mom's are the best aren't they?
ReplyDeleteWhat great projects!
